Online Payments
With Meety, you can accept online payments or deposits for your services and sell passes or gift cards.
Requirements
To set up online payments, you need:
- Solo or Premium Plan - online payments are only available for Solo and Premium plans
Connecting Payment Gateway - Stripe Account
Online payments are processed by our partner, Stripe. To start accepting online payments, you need to create an account that will be connected to your business in Meety. This account works similarly to a bank account, it's yours alone, and you can withdraw money you've received from it. Creating it won't take more than 5 minutes, and you'll need basic information about your business or company.
Creating Stripe Account
- Go to the Settings section in the main menu
- Select the Payments tab
- Click Connect Stripe Account
- You will be redirected to the Stripe page, where:
- You'll create a Stripe account (if you don't have one yet)
- You'll fill in information about your business
- You'll confirm terms of use
- After completion, you'll be redirected back to Meety, and Meety will assign this account to your business.
Connection Status
After connecting a Stripe account, you'll see the connection status in settings:
- Connected - Stripe account is connected
- Payments Enabled - you can receive payments
- Payouts Enabled - you can receive payouts to your bank account
If any of these statuses is not active, you must complete the setup in Stripe, or contact our support for help.
Configuring Payments for Services
After connecting a Stripe account, you can set up payments for individual services.
Setting Up Payment for Service
- Go to the Services section
- Click on a service you want to edit (individual services can have different payment types)
- Select the Payments tab
- Enable Require Payment
Payment Types
You can set two types of payments:
Full Payment Upfront
- Client pays the full amount when booking
- Payment is processed immediately after creating the reservation
- If the client doesn't pay within 1 hour, the reservation is automatically cancelled
Deposit
- Client pays only a deposit when booking
- The remainder is paid on-site or later
- Deposit can be percentage-based or a fixed amount
Setting Up Deposit
If you select a deposit, you can set:
- Deposit Type - percentage amount of service price or fixed amount
- Deposit Amount - deposit value (either as percentage or fixed)
The deposit is calculated automatically when booking. If multiple services are booked, the deposit values are added together.
Tracking Payments
In the calendar, you can see the payment status for each reservation.
Payment Statuses
- Unpaid - payment has not been completed yet
- Pending - payment is being processed
- Paid - payment was successfully completed
- Failed - payment failed
- Partially Refunded - part of payment was refunded
- Fully Refunded - entire payment was refunded
- Disputed - payment is disputed (for example, marked by payment gateway as fraud)
Refunding Payments
You can refund deposits and appointment payments to clients directly from your Stripe account (navigate to dashboard.stripe.com), or from Meety:
- Click on an appointment in the calendar or in the appointments list
- Click Refund Payment
- Select amount (full or partial)
- Enter reason for refund (optional)
- Click Refund
The refund will be processed through Stripe and the client will receive a notification and refund receipt.
Stripe Dashboard
You can access the Stripe Dashboard at any time, either directly through dashboard.stripe.com after logging in, or from Meety:
- In the Settings > Payments section, click View Stripe Dashboard
- The Stripe Dashboard will open, where you can:
- See all transactions
- Manage payouts
- Configure Stripe account settings (for example, regular transfers to your account)
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does using Stripe cost?
Stripe charges fees for each transaction. Exact fees can be found on the Stripe page: https://stripe.com/en-cz/pricing. Meety does not charge any additional fees.
When will I receive payouts?
Payouts are processed according to settings in Stripe. Usually takes 2-7 days for payouts to reach your bank account.
Can I use a different payment gateway?
No, Meety currently only supports Stripe.
What happens if a client doesn't pay?
If a client doesn't pay within 1 hour after creating a reservation, the reservation is automatically cancelled.
Can I refund a payment?
Yes, you can refund a payment in the reservation details. Or you can refund the payment through the Stripe dashboard.
How do I see payment history?
You can see payment history in the Stripe Dashboard or in the calendar for individual reservations.
